Karolína Lahučká is a Research Fellow of AMO with focus on Turkey.
Karolína studied Political Science and Turkish Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. At the same faculty, she completed her PhD in the Middle Eastern Studies program, specializing in Turkey. Her professional interests include the political development of Turkey and Turkish foreign policy. Besides, she observes Turkish membership within NATO and its role as the regional player in the Middle East.
Since 2023, she has been affiliated with the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, where she teaches courses on modern Turkish history, Turkish foreign policy, Turkish nationalism, and the politics of the AKP.
She presents her research at international conferences and regularly appears in the media, where she comments on current developments in Turkey.
