Profile

Petr Vidomus is an analyst with the AMO Climate Team, where he specializes in climate change-related disinformation.

His research focuses on the theory and sociology of social movements, with a particular emphasis on conservative movements, climate activism, and anti-environmentalism (climate skepticism). He is the author of the first Czech monograph on active climate skepticism, It Will Get Warmer and Things Will Be Better: Czech Climate Skepticism in the Time of Global Risks (2018), which draws on qualitative interviews with prominent Czech climate skeptics. His current work examines the evolution of climate skepticism and its transition from expert discourse to populist practice.

Petr has lectured at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, and regularly collaborates with Czech Radio and other media outlets. At AMO, he also serves as an analyst for the evidence.ninja project, an AI-driven tool for debunking climate myths.
