About the project
The project Educating Ukrainian and Czech Teachers for Better Integration of Ukrainian Children into Czech Schools was implemented in 2022, and all planned activities were successfully carried out. Its aim was to support the effective integration of Ukrainian children into Czech schools and to strengthen mutual understanding between Czech and Ukrainian teachers.
The project combined training for Ukrainian educational staff working in Czech schools with the sharing of knowledge essential for integrating Ukrainian pupils into the Czech education system. Participants gained insight into how Czech schooling works, the differences between Czech and Ukrainian education, the psychological aspects of working with children after trauma, and approaches to diversity in the school environment. The project also included six seminars, Czech language training for school practice, and the development of educational materials in Ukrainian. It was supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
