Meetings of women in Czech Foreign, European, and Security Policy with Markéta Gregorová
On June 23, 2020 we organised another meeting of the Network of Women in Czech Foreign, European and Security Policy. The main guest was a Member of the European Parliament Markéta Gregorová.
Other members had an opportunity to discuss the more and more contemporary topic of hybrid threats. In the discussion, we touched upon the main sources of such threats for the European Union and the capabilities of the EU to face them. As one of the risk factors, insufficient cohesiveness among the member states was mentioned and the following lowered endurance against hybrid threats. The discussion then dealt with the actions that the European Union, specifically the European Parliament, can take to strengthen the cohesiveness and endurance of the Union and its member states, and in which areas some limits still persist.
The event was financially supported by the Government of the Czech Republic and the group of Greens/ESA in the European Parliament.
