Feminist Perspective in Climate Action: Meeting with Laurence Tubiana
Women play a significant role in the climate movement. Although they remain underrepresented in decision-making roles within climate governance structures, they have been proactive agents in driving climate solutions. One of the most prominent and outspoken leaders in this field is Laurence Tubiana, the key architect of the Paris Agreement, who has played a pivotal role in bridging political divides and catalyzing international agreements.
Members of the Women’s Network in foreign, European, and security policy, organized by AMO, had a unique opportunity to meet Ms. Tubiana and discuss her experiences and views during a meeting on March 25th.
At the 2015 COP21 Climate Change Conference in Paris, Ms. Tubiana served as France’s Climate Change Ambassador and Special Representative. Until recently, this role was held by Stéphane Crouzat, who became the French Ambassador to the Czech Republic this spring. It was a great pleasure to welcome H.E. Crouzat at this meeting, and to discuss France’s feminist diplomacy with him.
The meeting was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of France in Prague and the French Institute in Prague.
