Vít Dostál is co-author of the publication entitled Communicating Europe in a New Regional Security Context.
The book is result of the projekt which aims to identify best practices from the V4 countries during the EU integration period as well as at present related to communication strategies used in order to inform and prepare the general public on crucial issues dealing with political, economic and societal aspects of EU integration.
The aim of Dostál’s paper is to introduce, explain and evaluate the communication of European affairs in the Czech Republic. It first provides an overview of this policy from its early stages in the late 1990’s and lead on to today’s approach. It describes primarily the tools of governmental communication of European affairs. Then, two cases are discussed in detail. First, the Czech EU Council Presidency experience is analyzed. Secondly, the paper deals specifically with communication which is aimed at consumer protection.
The project entitled “V4 Supporting Communication Strategy of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine on implementing AA and DCFTA” is led by the Foreign Policy Association of Moldova and supported by the International Visegrad Fund.
