International conference organized by the Association for International Affairs (AMO) with kind support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, the Open Society Foundations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and in cooperation with the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the European Union.
The Visegrad Group (V4) has recently drawn attention thanks to its unity and disunity during the migration crises. However, the V4 cooperation is more structured and covers larger field than it might have been acknowledged due to the significance of recent EU’s discussions on the quotas and the role the V4 played in it. The purpose of the event is to present and discuss the Central European viewpoint on the current direction of the EU. There will be presented results of a unique survey which thoroughly examined the opinions of 430 top foreign policy trend – setters from the V4. Moreover, a discussion of the V4 MEPs will add a viewpoint of the Brussels’ insiders on the Central European contribution to the EU’s policies.
