Martin Rataj is an AMO analyst specializing in the Latin American region, especially the political, economic, social and cultural issues of the Andean countries.
He graduated in area studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and Latin-American studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, where he also received his Ph.D. He completed study and research internships in Lima and participated in volunteer development projects in Serbia and Indonesia. He has been working on projects in both non-profit and academic sectors, moreover, he provided trainings for volunteers heading to internships in global South countries and participated in activities related to the global education. In this field, he also represented the INEX-SDA organization in the Czech Forum for Development Cooperation (FoRS).
He focuses on Latin America, development issues, global citizenship education, historical and political development of global South countries and occasionally also current issues of foreign and domestic policy.
