Recently, the European Union has celebrated 60 years since the ratification of the Treaties of Rome. Despite its retirement age, the European Union is in the eyes of many doing well. On the other hand, just as many tend not to trust the European Union and its institutions. In recent studies, both opinion groups were around 46 – 47 % of European population.1 In the United Kingdom, this mistrust contributed to the Brexit vote, which ended with the UK starting the process to exit the EU.
