Despite equal qualifications, women in Czechia, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary remain underrepresented in foreign and security policy due to persistent biases and structural barriers. This policy brief explores how to enhance women's participation in shaping and implementing foreign policy, focusing on four key areas: professional networking, media representation, gender-sensitive education, and equal opportunities in diplomacy.

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

AMO is cooperating on the project with organisations from other V4 countries: the Casimir Pulaski Foundation (Poland), the Equilibrium Institute (EI, Hungary) and the Slovak Society for Foreign Policy Research Centre (SFPA, Slovakia).
