China’s Activities in 16+1: Pooling Knowledge and Sharing Lessons Learnt

In June 6-7, 2018 AMO organized the international workshop for China experts and NGO practitioners from Central and Eastern Europe.
The aim of the event was to present results of ChinfluenCE, an international project mapping Chinese political and economic influence in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, and to discuss specific situation in each of the countries gathered in 16+1 initiative and help fostering region-wide debate on the issue. Besides that, the workshop, which brings together 20 NGOs and academics from 16 Central and East European countries, aimed at sharing the best practices gained from various China-related projects and monitoring activities conducted by participants of the event.
The event was supported by the National Endowment for Democracy.
