Association for International Affairs (AMO) with the support of National Endowment for Democracy (NED) has the pleasure to invite you for the International Conference CHINA AND THE EUROPEAN UNION: FROM STRATEGIC PARTNER TO SYSTEMIC RIVAL.
The conference focuses on the willingness and the ability of the EU member states to create a common European strategy towards China and its increasing influence in not only economic realm. The goal of the conference is not only to assess the current state of EU-China relations, but also to contribute to formulating the EU-wide strategy.
PROGRAMME
DownloadDoes China play “divide and rule” strategy in Europe? Does 16+1 platform serve as the diving tool? What should Europe and its institutions do for formulating and enacting a truly unified strategy on China? What approach has been taken by various member states so far and could any of them serve as an inspiration? Can the goal of a harmonized foreign and security policy towards China be achieved without antagonizing China and harming economic cooperation?
