How can we distinguish scientific facts from misleading narratives in an age of artificial intelligence and information overload? As climate and environmental disinformation continues to spread, understanding how information is created, shared and verified has become an essential skill.

Come join us to experience an afternoon full of discussions, screenings and interactive activities exploring the challenges of climate disinformation and the tools available to counter it.
Designed as a mini climate fair, the event will transform the different spaces of the French Institute into a place for exchange and discovery.
Afternoon Programme:

Documentary screenings and discussions at Kino 35 exploring key climate issues and the way they are represented in public debate.
- Interactive workshops on climate disinformation, including a presentation and live demonstration of Evidence Ninja, an AI-powered tool helping users identify and debunk misleading information online.
- "A Café with a Climatologist", an informal conversation with renowned French climatologist Jean Jouzel, offering participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss climate science directly with an expert.
- Hands-on activities exploring how misinformation works, including workshops on how false information is created and how it can be critically analysed.
- Information stands and interactive booths hosted by NGOs and civic initiatives working in the fields of climate communication.
