EU-Taiwan Trade Enhancement: Implications for the Czech Economy
Research paper tries to evaluate some concrete implications that the possible EU-Taiwan Free Trade Agreement would have for the Czech economy. The EU has launched FTA negotiations with various Asian countries in an attempt to address barriers to EU exports. These so-called ‘new generation’ agreements help to open up new markets for European exporters and to increase European competitiveness. However, Taiwan is not on the European list of possible negotiations and the agreement is currently not discussed by the EU.
