Workshop on Investigative Journalism in Belgrade with Czech and Serbian Journalists
AMO - Association for International Affairs is expanding its activities in the Western Balkans. With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, AMO recently launched a project aimed at empowering independent media in Serbia to investigate foreign influence.
On September 17, AMO organized a workshop in Belgrade, where Czech investigative journalists and experts met with their Serbian colleagues to exchange experiences and insights.
The project brought Ondřej Kundra (Respekt), Zdislava Pokorná (Deník N), and Jakub Zelenka (Page Not Found) to Belgrade to share their expertise in investigative journalism with Serbian colleagues. Additionally, Pavel Havlíček (AMO), Filip Šebok (CEIAS: Central European Institute of Asian Studies), and Lukáš Horák (University of Defense) contributed valuable insights into the complexities of foreign influences.
Serbian journalists from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN), Danas, Demostat, Istinomer, and N1 enriched the discussions with their deep understanding of the local context. Serbian journalists also presented their ideas for upcoming investigations that will be supported by the project and published in independent Serbian media.
