An expert seminar organized within the Challenging the Czech Tales on European Policies supported by the Open Society Foundations.
No compromise; that was the result of the November single-issue European Council, which focused on the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2014-2020. The negotiations were postponed until the beginning of 2013. The dividing lines are mainly between those who want substantial cuts in the planned EU budgets and those who oppose them, and between defenders of the Common Agricultural Policy and member states which prioritize Cohesion Policy.
Is there any chance to adopt the Multiannual Financial Framework in the begging of 2013?
How will this delay influence the planning of the next program period?
What is the Czech position and how the chances for pushing it through look like after the November summit?
