Martin Smolek is an expert in the field of European law. After successful graduation at Faculty of Law of Charles University and at prestigious Humboldt’s University in Berlin, he started working at the Ministry of the Environment at the Law Department. From 2002, he has been working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and since the last year he is serving as a Deputy Minister for Legal and Consular Affairs. For the past nine years, he has been acting as the Agent of the Czech Republic before the Court of the European Union.
