Karolína Lahučká is a Research Fellow of AMO with focus on Turkey. Until the end of 2019 she also worked as a project coordinator.
Karolína is a graduate of the double Master’s Degree program in Political Science with focus on international relations and Turkish Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. She is currently in the process of pursuing her PhD degree at the same faculty in History and Cultures of Asian and African Countries with the focus on Turkey. She focuses on the political development of Turkey and the transformation of Turkish nationalism. Besides, she observes Turkish membership within NATO and its role as the regional player in the Middle East.
In 2019, she obtained a monthly research scholarship at the Asien-Afrika Institut in Hamburg. During her studies, she worked, among others, as an auxiliary scientific force at the Institute of Political Science of the Charles University; as an intern, she was part of the analytical team of the think-tank Institute for Politics and Society, and she also volunteered for the Czech Charity on the project related to intercultural dialogue.
