Is a chairman of Committee for International Affairs, of Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, former leader of TOP 09 party, former senator, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, former Deputy chairman of the government of Petr Nečas, former Chancellor to president Havel and presidential candidate of 2013. He was also the Chairman of International Helsinki Federation for Human Rights. He speaks 6 languages, studied law and forestry at the universities of Munich, Vienna and Graz.
