Is a professor of philosophy. He was a minister of Education in 1998 and last counter candidate to Václav Klaus in 2003. His main study field is Christianity from philosophical and anthropological point of view. He is a lecturer at several universities in the Czech Republic and lectures also abroad mainly philosophical and European topics.
