On May 16, the Association for International Affairs in cooperation with the Czech-Korean Society held a lecture on Inter-Korean Relations: Prospects for a Peaceful Resolution? delivered by To-Hai Liou, a lecturer and a researcher at the National Chengchi University in Taiwan.
Dr. To-Hai Liou specializes in political, economic and security relations between the two Korean states. His presentation outlined the modern history of mutual relations, characterized by periods of crisis and rapprochement. He also talked about Sino-DPRK relations, change of the leadership in North Korea and a possible solution of the situation in the Korean Peninsula through the application of a neofunctionalist approach.
