Panelist

Zuzana Harmáčková heads the Department of Socio-Ecological Analysis at the Institute of Global Change Research, Czech Academy of Sciences. She is engaged in the creation and analysis of future development scenarios and research on socio-ecological resilience in cooperation with experts, political representatives and public representatives across different cultural and geographical contexts (Czech Republic, Europe, Central Asia, Africa).

She is a long-term contributor to the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), improving knowledge transfer on sustainability between researchers and policy makers. As coordinating lead author, she contributed to the international IPBES Nexus Assessment, demonstrating the links between climate crises, biodiversity, food security, water availability and human health, which was endorsed by more than 140 countries in December 2024. She teaches at the Faculty of Science, Charles University and the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University.

She is a panelist at AMO klima Conference: Making European food systems work for people, climate, and biodiversity.
