Michal Novotny is an analyst at AMO, where he focuses on the development of climate diplomacy.
He studied environmental chemistry at Masaryk University. During his studies he interned at the European Parliament in the Secretariat of the S&D group.
During the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2022, he was involved in the preparation of EU positions and negotiations within the UNFCCC and COP27. He also worked for an association of green NGOs.
He currently works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Embassy in Nairobi, where he is in charge of the UNEP and UN Habitat agenda.
