Ratification of the Istanbul Convention, redefinition of the crime of rape or physical violence against children - these are just some of the topics addressed by the Government Commissioner for Human Rights.
The current Commissioner Klára Šimáčková Laurenčíková, is also the National Coordinator for the Adaptation and Integration of Refugees from Ukraine and Deputy Minister for European Affairs.
At the December meeting of the Network of Women in Czech Foreign, European and Security Policy, she discussed with the members of the Network not only these topics, but also her work on the introduction of a single definition of domestic violence and the update of the Gender Equality Strategy 2021-2030, which is currently being approved.
