Josef Kučera is a Research Fellow of the AMO Research Centre, focusing on questions concerning authority and power in the Central African region.
Josef holds a PhD in Cultural and Political Geography from the University of Ostrava, he holds a master’s degree in political sciences from the Charles University, and a CEP (Certificat d’Etudes Politiques) from Sciences Po Bordeaux. His doctoral research was awarded a scholarship from the French Government (BGF).
Josef Kučera has been working with AMO since May 2017 and he has lived mostly in Cameroon since 2020.
