Following the foundation of the Visegrad Cooperation, establishing strong transatlantic ties has been among the principal priorities of the V4 countries. The relationship with the United States has been a rarely disputed asset in these countries’ foreign policies for much of the past 25 years, however, present changes in the White House hold uncertainties for the future of this cooperation. The inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 45th president of the USA has brought new political and economic challenges for the Visegrad countries. In light of the prospective re-calibration of transatlantic relations as well as the crucial upcoming elections in key EU member states, discussing potential political and economic scenarios for the region is timelier than ever.

The organizers provide free copies of the new book titled “25 years of V4” (Res Publica, winter 2016). The publication brings together the finest contemporary political minds to discuss eleven of the most important policy areas for the Visegrad Group.
