Czech experts led a seminar about the concept of education of Ukrainian school directors
On April 4, 2016, the Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky State Pedagogical University hosted already a second seminar focused on the teaching methods of school directors. The course was held as a part of the international exchange project aimed at developing capacities of Ukrainian universities and was kindly supported by the Czech Development Agency.
Václav Trojan, the director of the School Management Center at the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague, and his counterpart Jiří Trunda, the director of the elementary school Vratislavova, acquainted the Ukrainian pedagogues with the methods of education of directors as practiced in the CR. It was accentuated that a school director is a manager of a dynamically developing firm. Therefore development of strategic thinking and managerial skills should be stressed and practical experience should be maximally taken into account.
In the course of the seminar, consultations on the prepared university management program took place. Czech experts also had the opportunity to meet with more than 40 school directors from the Kyiv oblast to discuss the results of a questionnaire research on education of Ukrainian school directors.
