Managing Diversity

Understanding ethnic, cultural, religious, demographic and gender diversity is one of the challenges in the globalized world. ‘Unity in diversity’ has been a motor for post-war integration between states and societies in Europe, and has given proof that mutual cooperation is more sustainable than rivalry between nations. But how do societies cope at the same time with growing diversity and decreasing independence? What consequences does this process have for German and Czech politics, economy and society, and how should we manage diversity in the context of European integration?
